Participation of Yogacharya dr Ananda Bhavanani and Yogacharini Devasena in the celebration of the festival of Ganesha Caturthi, at the Hindu Temple of Sri Maha Tripurasundari, and in the Special Cultural Programme of Indian Dance and Music.

In the contemplative Ashram atmosphere, in the spiritual company of Yogacharya dr Ananda Bhavanani and Yogacharini Devasena, retreat with students and teachers of Gitananda Yoga, and with all those who wish to study this scientific system rooted in an ancient tradition, codified by Maharishi Svami Gitananda Giri, great 20th century Guru who widely spread traditional Yoga in India and in the west. The retreat will deal with prevention and therapy through asana, pranayama, sound and singing; benefits of yoga techniques on general psycho-physical health, on musculo-skeletrical disorders and on rebalancing of postural disharmonies. Practice of Hatha yoga, Pranayama, Satsamgha, meditation and kirtans in the Temple of Sri Lalita Maha Tripurasundari, dedicated to the Divine Mother, where mantras and bhajans purify heart, mind and soul, Carnatic songs and music, karma yoga.

Vocal and instrumental concert held by Yogacharya dr Ananda Bhavanani, musician, singer and composer in the classical Carnatic style of South India.

Dr. Ananda Bhavanani,
is a doctor, expert of yoga, vocalist and musician in the Carnatic Style, expert of Tamil Culture, spiritual heir of Yogamaharishi Svami Gitananda Giri – codifier of the Gitananda Yoga System-. He has published articles and books on the science of yoga, yoga therapy, medical researches he conducted about the effects of yoga practices and pranayama. He has held conferences and concerts in Australia, United States, South Africa and since 2006 he has been travelling in Europe to hold meetings and seminars on Gitananda Yoga for teachers and students of yoga. He is the Director of the International Centre for Yoga Education and Research (ICYER) founded by Svami Gitananda in 1968. He is the Director of Yoganjali Natyalayam.
Yogacharini Devasena Bhavanani,
Dancer of Bharata Natyam, singer of Carnatic Music, teacher of dance, yoga and Sanskrit.
She is the Director of the dance, music and Sanskrit departments at the International Centre for Yoga Education and Research (ICYER) and of the Yoganjali Natyalayam, Institute of Yoga, Bharata Natyam and Carnatic music, where she teaches such disciplines.

codifier of the Rishi Culture Ashtanga Yoga system, popularly known as Gitananda Yoga, is considered as one of the greatest world authorities in the field of Yoga, of Siddhanta Yoga and Tantra.
The Svami Gitananda Ashram (Altare - SV) bears the name of Paramahamsa Svami Gitananda Giri, of whom Paramahamsa Svami Yogananda Giri, acharya and founder of the Ashram, is the direct disciple and only samnyasin belonging to his paramparaya.
